Ministeries
Sunday Classes We’ve been blessed with a great team of teachers that foster richly theological and practically applicable classes for all ages. Our adult classes are broken down into 3 tracks that serve as electives each semester. These tracks are: Biblical Studies, Biblical Theology, and Practical Christian Living. We rotate topics through these tracks so that each person may choose the class they would like to attend. A typical semester may look like: a study on the Sermon on the Mount for Biblical Studies, a study on the fear of man versus the fear of God for Biblical Theology, a study on Marriage, Finances, or Parenting for Practical Christian Living. You’re invited to choose whichever track meets your particular spiritual need at that time. We are also pleased to offer a Senior Living Class that seeks to confront the specific challenges of this season in life with the truth and promises of God’s Word. This class meets year-round. During the summer months, we are pleased to offer an intergenerational Sunday Class for High School through Adult. We have been immensely blessed by this special dynamic. It is a teaching/discussion driven class that seeks to blend older faith with younger in order to assist the next generation of faith. God has seen fit to bless our Sunday Class Ministries and we’d love for you to be a recipient of that blessing! Connect Groups Our Connect Groups are sermon-based small groups which meet every week from the beginning of August to December and January through April. They are a crucial part of the ministry at FBC where believers gather together to begin integrate and apply what they just recently heard. These groups meet at different homes throughout the church for about 90 minutes and involve discussion, prayer, and deepened relationships around Christ. We are purposeful to allow new-comers to acclimate at their own pace, so please know that you can participate as you feel comfortable. If you haven’t already been invited to one, please contact the church office. Wednesday Prayer and Bible Study Wednesday nights provide a wonderful opportunity to interact casually with other believers. During the summer months, we transition Wednesday nights to Testimony Dinners, where different people share their journey of coming to know Christ as Savior, and of following Him since. Many share a meal together before hearing the testimony. These dinners have blessed our congregation our congregation immensely over the years and we’re confident that God will continue to use them to encourage us. Women’s Ministry Women’s Bible Studies We offer two different studies that each start in the fall months. One meets on Tuesday evenings and the other on Tuesday mornings. These have been a great source of blessing to our ladies. Please contact the church office for more information on how to be a part. Women’s Ministry Team We are blessed to have a group of women that facilitate opportunities to tend to the many needs of those in our church and community. They host events, provide meals, organize celebrations, and minister to the body in a variety of other ways. Please contact the church office if you have any questions about this ministry. Men’s Ministry Men’s Prayer Breakfast One Saturday a month all the men of the church and their sons are invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast, time of Bible study and prayer. Great brotherhood flows out of this monthly gathering. Men’s Theological Study We strongly believe that as it goes with the spiritual health of the men in our church, so it goes with the church. We seek to ensure the vitality of our church by providing an in-depth time of theological study for the men in our church on a variety of different subjects. Please contact the church office for more information concerning this study. Wilderness Trips Every other year several men in the church participate in a organized wilderness trip to a different scenic location each year. The men begin meeting once a month several months in advance studying a particular spiritual book and beginning prep work for the trip. These adventure ridden, solitude and camaraderie-seeking trips have served to greatly deepen our men’s walk with God, each other, and their families upon arriving home. In the future, we hope to also develop these trips to be available for couples as well. Student Ministeries Awana (Cubbies-Trek from 6:00-7:30 and Journey from 7:30-8:00) The ministry of Awana provides an awesome platform for intergenerational relationships to be formed, Scripture to be studied and memorized and parental involvement to be facilitated. This ministry has had a vibrant impact on our church for several years and continues to be a place where we’ve seen the Spirit bless. We’d love for your students to be a part! Below is the breakdown for ages:- Cubbies for 3 to 4 year olds
- Sparks for Kindergarteners to 2nd graders
- Truth and Training for 3rd to 6th graders
- Trek for 7th to 8th graders
- Journey for High School students
Youth Group (High School, Thursday Nights 7-9 During the School Year)
Pathway is the name of our High School Youth Group, and it has served for a deepening of relationships with God, peers, and youth sponsors throughout the years. Attention is given to God’s Word concerning specific issues that the students are confronted with in their everyday lives. Seasonal retreats and an annual summer camp invite these teens to come away and consider their life’s current condition and direction on God’s path. The night consists of probing questions, worship through song, personal interaction, Bible study, and times of games and refreshments. We’d love for your student to be a part!
Hands Towards Heaven Puppet Team (High School Student Ministry)
For over two decades our church has provided a Puppet ministry to both adults and children. This ministry is available for students who want to serve through the means of being a “puppeteer.” Beyond serving in our church, the Puppet Team has had a chance to serve at Care Centers, area churches, camps, inner cities, and across the globe on its yearly mission trip.

Vacation Bible School takes place during the beginning of summer, with preparation beginning months earlier. This ministry allows for fellowship with others who are serving during the week, as well as an opportunity to introduce many young people to Christ and His Church. The age of participation for VBS ranges from pre-school through 6th grade. If interested in this area of ministry, please contact the church office!
Nursery
Our nurseries are safe, clean, and well-staffed. Serving parents from 9:30 to 12:15 on Sunday Mornings, in order that they can deeply interact with the worship.
Outreach Ministry
It’s our pleasure to participate in our local community through events like the city-wide Moonlight Parade, Trunk or Treat, and the Christmas Walk. We are always on the lookout for more ways to serve the cities around us.
